DLS Events, a premier food and beverage solution company is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our growing Payroll team. The successful candidate will be well rounded in all Payroll duties. This is a mid-level position where you can grow your career while gaining valuable experience.
The successful candidate will be solutions orientated and independent thinker who focuses on outside the box solutions. We seek candidates who desire to learn and grow in the Payroll Department realm. This position is in office only with our location at the corner of Wilshire/Western.
Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility for the Payroll Coordinator is to provide administrative support to assist the Payroll
Department so that it runs more efficiently and to support the overall objectives of the Company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Process necessary payroll related documents; garnishments, manual checks, stop pay requests, ect.
Creates and audits payroll reports; time & attendance, supplemental pay, ect.
Manages company payroll email inbox and responds to pay related inquiries, resolves pay issues
Works with Payroll Administrator and Management team to ensure payroll is accurate and processed
on time
Maintains employee payroll profile in HRIS system
Works with HRIS system on all time clock related issues in the field
Strictly follows compliance with federal and state regulations
Assist Payroll Department with various projects as assigned
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience working in a payroll department
Possess a good understanding of Payroll, Wage and Salary, PTO accrual and nationwide overtime law
1-2 years working with a payroll system- ADP Workforce Now system preferred
Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-prioritization and time management skills
